Do You, Be You, Embrace You.

I wanted to write a blog post today but I wasn't sure what to write it on. This could be a bit more of a ramble but at the moment I feel like I am going through a slight transformation within myself and I guess I just want to touch on the subject of change. A lot has changed in my personal life recently, my job, my relationship and my attitude to life and myself in general. I feel like although change is a very daunting thing, it is something that should be embraced. Having a lot change in your life in quite a small space of time can be intimidating. Your not quite sure what to think or feel and emotions do run high. Excitement with a hint of worry, a touch of self doubt and a scatter of overwhelming emotions are natural, however I do believe that the excitement of new prospects and something different to get yourself involved in is a really positive and life affirming feeling.

Change is something that everyone goes through at some point in their life, whether its a new job, a new relationship or even a break up. All of these situations and more can be an daunting feeling, to let someone in or the prospect of going it alone. It shouldn't change who you are as person, more define the person that you want to be. Lift you up instead of drag you down and be a positive force on your personal goals. You shouldn't change who you are or follow the crowd on what you think you should be doing. What you enjoy and what makes you smile. Just do you, be you, and embrace you and everything else will fall in to place.

I guess I just wanted to write a positive post about something that everyone goes through and I know that everyone copes differently and has their own way of dealing with change in their lives. Is there anything you guys are going through that you can share what you do to keep yourselves grounded or make you feel good about yourself? I find working out an amazing way to focus and feel good about myself. Let me know what you guys think below. A bit of a random post but something I just wanted to put out there I guess. :)

Updated Daily Facial Skin Routine

Hello all! I hope you are all well, sorry I haven't been on the blog in a while there has been quite a lot going on recently on a personal level,  but I am determined to start posting regularly again (watch this space.) Today I thought that I would do an updated facial skin regime as recently I have changed up the products that I am using and I am definitely seeing a difference. This post will be on my morning skin routine but if you want to see my night time skin routine let me know in the comments section below!

To start off with I usually rinse my face in the morning with cold water to wake me up and make me feel fresh! I then go in with a cleanser and at the moment I have been using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Lotion Astringente Micro-Exfoliante. I use that on a cotton pad to swipe all over the face getting rid of any dead skin cells and impurities.

I then like to go in with this new product from The Body Shop, the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Essence Lotion and I apply this by putting a very small amount on my hands rub together and then smooth onto the face. When I was last in The Body Shop I actually had a skin test done on my face to see how hydrated my skin was. Though it wasn't too bad considering I was wearing a matte foundation at the time that dries out the skin significantly, I was recommended this product to help boost not just the hydration in my skin, but also the effectiveness of any serum or daily moisturiser I put on after, as this product helps the skin to prepare to absorb any other products I put on top more efficiently.

I have been trying out this new serum from Nivea and it is the Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum Pearls and I really like it. It is an affordable serum that pretty much does what it says on the tin. It absorbs well into the skin and has Hyaluronic Acid providing its anti-wrinkle power. This is my second bottle of this product and I highly recommend it if you are just starting to get into your anti-wrinkle products like I am.

After serum I apply a daily moisturiser and at the moment I am using up the Garnier Skin-Active Moisture Bomb Antioxidant Moisturiser. This is a very affordable lightweight moisturiser that does the job, makes your skin feel smooth and soft and sits nicely under make up. I also have the Moisture Boost sheet masks of this and I really like using them to refresh my skin and make it feel plump and hydrated.

A staple in my skincare regime is The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream . I definitely feel at this time of year the cold weather and rain, wind and snow can play havoc with your eyes. This eye cream is such a simple one to use. Its sinks into the skin really well, sits nicely under foundation and concealer and is generally just a really lovely affordable product.

The last product I use (almost) daily is the Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz ( I say almost daily as I am very close to running out and the last time I was in The Body Shop they had sold out!) I love this spritz as a final step to daily skincare it just refreshes the face and adds a little more moisture, I also love the smell of this as it smells of oranges and it is amazing!

I would like to add one more product to this that I don't use all the time but really need to get into the habit of. If I'm out and about in the city, outside or in the sun I really have enjoyed using The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence with SPF 50 PA++++. At the moment I'm all about protection and really looking after the face you have, you only get one after all! I have been looking for an high SPF to wear daily and this one is just perfect. It is a cream to liquid texture sinks in beautifully into the skin and doesn't even feel like you are wearing anything. Its such a fantastic affordable product that has such a high protection from not just UVA and UVB rays but also pollution which can affect your skin daily.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post and again apologies for the long spell of know posts, I promise this is about to change! Let me know in the comments below if there are any products you would recommend. :)
